Farmers Market Spaces
The Madeira Farmers Market strives to provide a continuous and diverse selection of locally grown agricultural and horticultural products, specialty food items, and handmade goods/crafts and services for its patrons. We are a producer-only market for local vendors with businesses within 100-miles of Madeira Farmers Market.
We make an effort to ensure each vendor has the opportunity to improve sales over time, primarily by balancing supply and demand for products brought to market.
Farmers and horticultural producers who apply for space in the market will be considered in the following order of priority:
- Those whose products are grown organically and sustainably.
- Those whose products are grown sustainably without the use of chemical fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides.
- Those whose products are grown by conventional means.
Specialty food producers and handmade goods/craft makers who apply for space in the market will be considered in the following order of priority:
- Specialty food producers whose products are comprised completely or predominantly of ingredients and materials grown on or gathered from local farms, with a preference for the greatest use of organically grown and sustainably grown ingredients.
- Those whose primary ingredients are grown regionally, with a preference for the greatest use of organically grown and sustainably produced ingredients.
- Handmade goods makers whose primary ingredients are eco-friendly and without artificial colors and fragrances.
